Reforestation Day celebrates National Tree Day

This Wednesday May 22nd, on the national tree day celebration, REPSA carried out a reforestation event with over 100 students of different communities of Sayaxché, Petén.

The Environmental Agricultural Field School received students of the communities El Pato, La Ceiba and Mirador to carry out different topics on the issue of awareness-raising on the importance of tree for the environment.
Besides an informative video, every student exhibited drawings and assignments celebrating the tree and the very important work they have in our ecosystem.

Later the reforestation activity was conducted where every attendee had the chance to learn the procedure for transplanting trees in their final growth destination and care that must be provided for the tree to develop.

The activities on awareness and care for the environment are of the utmost importance for REPSA because they adhere to all actions that it implements in its operations to respect the environment.

At REPSA we work to generate economic, social, and environmental value for Guatemala.
