REPSA contributing to the development of Sayaxché

Grupo HAME through its company REPSA in coordination with the Municipality of Sayaxché, delivered perimetral circulation of the Mixed Rural Official School of Caserío La Ceiba, Sayaxché, Petén. This construction consisted in building 328 linear meters, that will provide safety to 442 children and 18 teachers from that facility.

This initiative is part of the commitment to strengthen our good-neighborly policy to enhance relations with the neighboring communities and institutions to our areas of operation.

The Director of the facility Alicia Pop, thanked for this contribution: “We thank God for allowing us to get to the end of this project and those who supported us in its making, that is from great benefit for the education, the children and the community in general. We the teachers are very pleased to receive this project, because the truth we needed it very much, children would come out at recess to the main street at the risk of being run over by vehicles passing through the site, now we locked the gate and the children are safe inside the facility, a thousand thanks to the Municipality, parents of the community and the company REPSA”.

Carlos Cuz, parent from the benefitted community, said “We are incredibly grateful with the company REPSA and the Municipal Mayors of Sayaxché, for giving us a hand to improve our community. On behalf of my fellow parents we are thankful because they have helped in several projects.  Together they are willing to help the  communities from the municipality of Sayaxché, in the case of the company REPSA it helps us very much in different needs of the communities of the three micro regions:  La Ceiba, El Pato and Santa Isabel, we hope they continue in conjunction with the Municipality to always seek improvements of the communities of our municipality of Sayaxché.

Mario Guillermo from REPSA´s Community Relations area stated: “For REPSA the education topic in communities of its zone of influence is very important and the community of Ceiba was no exception, today we are launching a project that we have developed in coordination with the Municipality of Sayaxché, parents, teachers, and the entire educational community in this community. This Project is benefitting more than 400 children and the main objective is to bring the educational center to a status of safe and healthy school, I believe that we have already made an important move in the perimetral circulation of this school and our goal regarding the support in education infrastructure is that we want to bring the safe and healthy school status in the communities of our zone of influence.
