Sustainability seeks to satisfy current needs, without putting the lives of future generations at risk. Everything we do today must have a positive impact for years to come, making us highly responsible for everything we do today. In 2015, seeking to be an increasingly sustainable world, specific objectives were agreed between all the members of the United Nations Organization; This plan is known as Global Goals, which aim to end poverty, take care of the planet and guarantee peace and prosperity for all, by 2030. In Guatemala, in addition to the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), both The public sector, the private sector and the government are committed to the consolidation of a structure that allows this to be a reality in the country through different programs, resources and executions. At REPSA, corporate social responsibility is an important pillar and sustainability is something that is taken very seriously. To contribute to this, it operates through 5 main themes, which cover all the actions that the company does:

Biodiversity, which translates into bringing vegetation where there is none through reforestation programs that maintain the vegetation at the correct levels for the environment.
Community development, through a close relationship with the communities where we operate, to bring development to the entire population, maintaining a positive relationship between all. Occupational health and safety.
Our production chains maintain rigorous security processes, because we understand that life comes before any other issue. We have certi fi cations that ensure safe processes for our collaborators.
Traceability. All the product we grow and all the processes are traceable, in order to operate with transparency to avoid actions that may be negative.
Responsible use of natural resources, using everything that the environment gives us, without taking it to extremes. For example, in Sayaxché, thanks to the water collected from the rains, it makes the irrigation system much more efficient.
